A Journey of Faith: The History and Growth of Maseno University Christian Union

Maseno University Christian Union, established in 1978 as an affiliate of Moi University, has experienced remarkable growth over the years. From its humble beginnings, the Union has grown in population, with a large number of converts joining every year. As a community of committed young men and women, the Christian Union provides discipleship care to new converts and fosters stability in Christian faith among its members.

Commited to Discipleship, Evangelism and Fostering a Strong Christian Community

At Maseno University Christian Union, we are dedicated to nurturing disciples, spreading the Gospel, and building a vibrant Christian community.

  • Discipleship is at the core of our mission, guiding believers in their spiritual growth.
  • We actively engage in evangelism to share the love of Christ.
  • We foster a strong Christian community through fellowship and support.

Our Core Beliefs and Doctrinal Stances

At Maseno University Christian Union, we are guided by a set of core beliefs and doctrinal stances that define who we are and how we live our lives. These beliefs form the foundation of our faith and guide our actions and interactions with others.

Belief in God

Our belief in God compels us to live according to His will, striving to reflect His love and holiness in our daily lives. We seek to glorify God in all we do and to share the message of His love and salvation with others. Referencing 2 Peter 3:18, we are called to continually grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This growth in our faith and understanding of God is a lifelong journey that deepens our relationship with Him and equips us to live out our beliefs more fully. As we grow, we bring glory to God, both now and forever, reflecting His character and love to the world around us.

Salvation Through Jesus

Maseno University Christian Union believes salvation comes solely through Jesus Christ—fully God and fully man—who lived sinlessly, died for our sins, and rose again, defeating death. His sacrifice reconciles us to God, offering eternal life through faith in Him, as all have sinned (Romans 3:23).

The Bible as Truth

At Maseno University Christian Union, we hold the Bible as the ultimate source of truth. We believe it is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, guiding our faith, conduct, and understanding of the world. It shapes our core beliefs, directs our actions, and informs how we engage with one another and the community around us.
